Can I come for a trial?
We offer trials in our parent and child Music and Art classes when we have space available. Please email us at email@example.com to schedule. Our afternoon Art classes are small and fill quickly so we are not able to accommodate trials. Please email us if you would like more details about any of our classes.
Is it OK for more than one adult to come to class?
For Music and Movement Classes multiple parents, grandparents, and, or caregivers are welcome to attend class at any time—no need to ask! For Art Classes, due to space, please limit adults to one, except for Family Classes and Stop, Collaborate and Listen.
How do I download my Music Together songs?
All the info to do that is here.
Why are your Music Together and Canta Y Baila classes mixed ages?
Classes with children of different ages have intellectual and social benefits for both younger and older children. In fact, it’s the learning environment recommended by many early childhood researchers. Older children learn empathy and awareness of others, while developing leadership qualities and gaining self-confidence. Younger children learn by imitating the older ones and often show more complex behaviors earlier than usual. Even babies benefit by being in an environment that gives them lots of opportunities to observe the behavior of children of varying ages. Plus, it allows everyone—siblings, parents, grandparents, caregivers—to share in the experience together!
Can I start classes after the session has begun?
Yes! We are happy to have you in any class that still has space. When you register on-line you will automatically be pro-rated for the remaining classes.
Can I change classes mid-session?
While we cannot guarantee that we will have availability, we always do our absolute best to accommodate changing nap schedules and other unpredictable schedule changes in family life! We will try to change your enrollment to any class that has open spots. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for class change requests. Please include a few options for times that would work for you.
Can I be on a waitlist for a class?
Of course. If a class is full email us at email@example.com and let us know which class or classes you would like to be on the waitlist for.
My older child has the day off from school. Can I bring them?
Yes! If we are running classes on a day when schools are in session you can bring your older child to class. If your older child will be coming for an Art class please let us know so we can prepare supplies for them. No need to tell us in advance for Music Together classes.
What is the difference between the Make and Explore art class and the Toddler Art Play?
Toddler Art Play does not have a formal lesson, it is exploratory and child-led meaning the kids move around the room to different art stations as they please. It is creatively age-appropriate with a focus on sensory art and different creative invitations set up every week. Make and Explore is geared towards slightly older children and blends instructed and child-led creative exploration. It begins with a seated, guided project that can usually be taken home. It is followed by a choice time that is similar to Toddler Art Play in that they can choose what they want to work on, but the activities are less sensory in nature, for example it might include drawing or clay from observation or a collaborative project.
Do you offer a discount if we take more than one class?
Yes, each additional class registration is discounted by $10!
Do you do school pick-up for the pre-k-5 drop-off classes?
